BOB MOSES (1935 - 2021)
Bob Moses believed in the power of people to build an inclusive democracy. He joined with Black Mississippians willing to risk all to vote, facilitating a movement that led to the historic 1965 Voting Rights Act. Later he applied his grass roots approach to the Algebra Project, a brilliant student-centered project organized around an understanding that math literacy was essential to citizenship. Bob’s legacy lives in his vision and tireless work for racial justice.
